Now living in Mandurah and having grown up in Busselton, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for coastal living and design. ABOUT UMI

Umi means “ocean” in Japanese — a fitting name for a brand inspired by my coastal upbringing in Busselton. Living close to the sea taught me how to appreciate light, space, and natural beauty — all of which deeply influence my work as a real estate photographer.
Umi Real Estate Photography was created to blend these coastal roots with high-quality, artistic visuals for properties across Southwest Australia. Whether it's a home by the beach or a modern inner-city apartment, I strive to reflect its story through compelling imagery.

MY EXPERIENCE

My photography journey began at age 12, when I started working for a friend’s father who owned a housing business (kaisha) in Japan. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a passion for architecture, interior design, and the creative process of capturing homes.
Over the years, I’ve sharpened my skills in real estate, commercial, and creative photography, with a strong foundation in composition, lighting, and storytelling. I’ve now photographed hundreds of properties — always with the same goal: to elevate listings through intentional, beautiful imagery.
